SB1NO: Deputy CEO Per Halvorsen to retire

After 20 years as a senior executive and 35 years in key positions within
banking, finance, and insurance, Per Halvorsen, Deputy CEO of SpareBank 1
Sør-Norge, will retire at the end of the year.
Halvorsen will step down from his executive responsibilities in the Group
Executive Management of SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge on 1 October 2026. Until 31
December 2026, he will serve as an advisor to CEO Inge Reinertsen.
"I would like to thank Per for his substantial contributions, both to the
financial industry over many years and to SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge. His efforts
have been instrumental in establishing the new group. I have greatly appreciated
our collaboration and wish him all the best in the future," says Reinertsen.
Per Halvorsen played a key role in the establishment of SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge in
October 2024. Throughout his career, he has been involved in five bank mergers
and one stock exchange listing and has held numerous key positions within the
industry and the SpareBank 1 Alliance.
"I believe the time is right for me to step down from SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge.
Since the establishment two years ago, I have, among other things, been
responsible for merging the group's subsidiaries and establishing the new
organisation within the parent bank. That work has now been completed, and with
it, my mission has been accomplished," says Per Halvorsen.
"I have had an eventful career during which we have created significant value,
but none of this would have been possible without all the talented people I have
had the privilege of working with along the way. It is truly rewarding to see
the result of all the mergers in the form of SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge, which has
become one of Norway's largest and leading banks. Personally, I am now looking
forward to a new chapter in life," continues the 64-year-old.
Gro Tveit will assume the role of Group Executive Vice President, People and
Organisation, effective 1 October 2026.
