(Limassol, 26 August 2022) S.D. Standard ETC Plc (Standard ETC, OSE:SDSD)
reported a net profit after tax of USD 15.6 million in the second quarter of
2022, up from USD 8.3 million in the same quarter last year. 

During the second quarter Standard ETC, demerged its fleet of supply vessels
into Standard Supply AS ("Standard Supply"), which raised NOK 150m in a private
placement. Standard Supply was subsequently listed on Euronext Growth on July
22th with Standard ETC holding a 70% ownership.

In the second quarter Standard ETC had an unrealized gain of USD 22.0m
reflecting the difference between the Standard Supply share price at end of June
2022 and the book values per end of March 2022. The investment portfolio had a
loss of USD 6.0m in the quarter, down from a USD 6.3m gain in the same quarter
last year.

investors and creating a listed vehicle, Standard Supply has a strong platform
for leveraging on the growth and expansion opportunities in this upturn cycle
for oil service vessels. After the delivery of the vessel Standard Defender in
October, Standard Supply will have a fleet of nine PSVs, and thus well
positioned to capture improvements in the market. We look forward to develop
this company forward on a stand-alone basis," says Martin Nes, Chairman of the
Board of Standard ETC.   

In May 2022, Standard ETC announced the investment of USD 10 million,
corresponding to an ownership of 25%, in Dolphin Drilling. Dolphin Drilling owns
and operate three 5th - and 6th generation of energy efficient moored
semi-submersible rigs and an organization of around 350 people. Dolphin Drilling
has recently been re-structured and has no interest-bearing debt. Standard ETC
has an option to invest additional USD 5million, bringing the total ownership up
to 32.5%.

At the end of the second quarter Standard ETC held cash of USD 27.1m and
marketable securities of USD 30.8m.
