HAV Group: Management change in subsidiary

9 September 2026 - Håvard Gjelseth has decided to step down from his role as
managing director of HAV Group's water treatment systems business. Thor
Valsø-Jørgensen has been appointed interim managing director. 

The operating unit of the water treatment systems business is called Norwegian
Greentech. The company is a supplier of ballast water treatment systems and
other systems for purification of water for use in the aquaculture industry and
in the maritime sector.

"Håvard was one of the co-founders of Norwegian Greentech in 2011. He has been a
vital part of developing the company's core technologies and firmly establishing
it as an internationally renowned supplier of ballast and other water treatment
solutions. We are deeply thankful for benefiting from his dedication over the
past 15 years and we respect his decision to step down from the role as managing
director," says Gunnar Larsen, chairman of Norwegian Greentech and CEO of the
company's parent group HAV Group ASA.  
 
Håvard Gjelseth comments: "After 15 rewarding years at Norwegian Greentech, the
time has come for me to pursue new challenges. It has been an exciting journey,
and I am proud of what we have built together over the years. I am grateful for
the opportunity to have worked with so many talented colleagues, customers and
partners, and for all the valuable experiences I have gained along the way. I
look forward to applying this knowledge in new endeavours. I wish Norwegian

Thor Valsø-Jørgensen has been appointed as interim managing director of
Norwegian Greentech. Valsø-Jørgensen is a senior industrial executive with
extensive operational leadership experience in project-based manufacturing,
maritime, offshore, and renewable energy industries. He has a solid track record
from turnarounds and business transformations. 

Valsø-Jørgensen has previously held CEO roles at Nextcable, Addtech-owned
maritime industry supplier Bruusgaard, and marine operations player Semar. He
has also held senior management roles at technology services company Force
Technology and Swedish industrial technology company Permascand (now Elicron).
Valsø-Jørgensen has a MSC in materials science from the Norwegian University of
Science and Technology - NTNU.
