FOM Technologies is proud to announce we have won a tender for delivery of a slot-die coating system to the prestigious German research institution Fraunhofer ISE.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg, Germany is the largest solar research institute in Europe and one of the world's most advanced and prestigious solar research centres. Together with a small handful of other research centres in the world, Fraunhofer ISE is responsible for certifying solar cells quality and efficiency.
Fraunhofer’s own researchers also hold the record for the World's most efficient solar cell with 47.6 percent efficiency. Using a new antireflection coating, they have successfully increased the efficiency of the best four-junction solar cell to date from 46.1 to 47.6 percent at a concentration of 665 suns.
FOM Technologies looks forward to supplying material research equipment to Fraunhofer ISE.
