Netum Group Plc: Inside information: Netum starts change negotiations to improve the efficiency of its operations and profitability
Netum starts change negotiations concerning approximately 40 persons, which corresponds to approximately 10% of the Group's personnel. The negotiations concern the parent company Netum Group Plc's personnel that is responsible for the Group’s support functions, and Netum Ltd’s Cyber security business unit.
By streamlining operations, the company aims for cost savings of one million euros in 2024.
Any measures taken after the change negotiations may lead to layoffs and, in addition, to reduction of maximum 13 positions.
"Netum has grown strongly in recent years, and especially the digital and continuity services businesses have continued their good development this year. However, the outlook for the IT services market has weakened, and to respond to the uncertain market situation, we have made the difficult decision for our personnel to start change negotiations in some of our businesses. We believe that by adjusting our cost structure to the changed situation, we can continue on the path of profitable growth in line with our targets," says Matti Mujunen, CEO of Netum.
Netum communicates openly and actively with its personnel throughout the negotiation process and communicates the outcome publicly after the negotiations have ended.
The change negotiations have no impact on Netum's guidance for 2023.
