Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration) has today announced its intention to award a collaboration agreement for road maintenance and operations in the Sundsvall area, Sweden, to Terranor AB, a subsidiary of the Terranor Group. The contract is divided into two phases, with an estimated total contract value of approximately SEK 540 million for both phases combined. The first phase runs from 1 March to October 2026 and focuses on joint project planning and pricing. This will be followed by establishment prior to the second phase, which covers execution and runs from 1 September 2027 to August 2031, with an option to extend the contract by up to two additional years.

The contract was awarded through a model which places emphasis on qualitative criteria such as operational capability, safety performance and collaborative working methods. The contract covers the operation and maintenance of 1,340 kilometers of public roads in Sundsvall area, with European routes 4 and 14 being the busiest. The area mainly covers Västernorrland County, but also includes parts of Gävleborg and Jämtland counties.

In accordance with customary procurement procedures, a mandatory standstill period of 10 days will apply before the contract can be formally signed.
