Robert Blumberg to commence as CEO of Summa Defence Plc on 13 April 2026. Petter Ruda appointed as Chief Financial Officer.
Summa Defence Plc announced on 12 March 2026 that it had appointed M.Sc. (Tech.), MBA Robert Blumberg (born 1974) as the company's CEO. The company now specifies that Blumberg will commence in his position on 13 April 2026.
At the same time, the Board of Directors of Summa Defence Plc has appointed Petter Ruda as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ruda will likewise commence in his position on 13 April 2026, report to the CEO and serve as a member of the company's Executive Management Team. Petter Ruda joins Summa Defence Plc as Chief Financial Officer from outside the company. He is a strategic CFO with over 20 years of experience in financial leadership in capital-intensive, multi-business companies. He has extensive experience in financing, group-level financial steering and change leadership, particularly in the maritime and industrial sectors.
Summa Defence Plc has entered the execution phase of its strategy, with a focus on business prioritisation, building growth and developing longterm shareholder value. The Board of Directors considers that the strengthened Executive Management Team supports the determined implementation of the company's strategy and the strengthening of its position in the key focus areas of defence and security technology.
