The med-tech company PolarCool AB (publ.) has appointed Tom Mockford as Chief Commercial Officer EU. In this key role, Tom will be responsible for the company's ongoing international expansion, with a particular focus on Europe.
In his new role, Tom Mockford will have overall responsibility for PolarCool's European sales organization and play a central role in the company's continued expansion. He will lead efforts to establish strategic partnerships with leading European sports clubs, organizations, and leagues.
Tom brings valuable experience in sports technology sales and medical innovations, along with a strong academic background in sports science-highly relevant for PolarCool's expansion efforts. He has an extensive network within the European sports industry, particularly in the concussion segment. Most recently, he held a leadership role at HITIQ, where he contributed to the development of head injury surveillance and concussion assessment technologies.
Tom has also successfully introduced new technological innovations to the European market, including Catapult Sports in the 2010s-a technology that has since become a standard in professional sports for monitoring and improving athlete performance. In addition to his commercial expertise, he also has medical experience, including four years as a Sport Science Officer at Chelsea FC.
