After the sharp general downturn in house construction and related local infrastructure during last year, Nordisk Bergteknik sees increased activity in foundation solutions again. It mainly regards previously postponed projects that are now starting. The order value for three recently won projects, which run during the winter season, amounts to around SEK 140 million. Furthermore, there is a clear increase in market activity regarding tenders and inquiries also regarding larger new projects, not least in the Stockholm area.
In Masthugget, Gothenburg, Nordisk Bergteknik has received a larger project regarding foundation solutions for construction of offices, business premises and 700 parking spaces in the area known as Masthugget west. The project includes several different stages in the form of concrete piling and foundation reinforcement through steel pipe piling. In Kramfors, Nordisk Bergteknik is active in a larger foundation project for the construction of a bark dryer with associated foundations. In Visby, the foundation for a bridge connection for pedestrians from the cruise terminal across the road to Färjeleden is being laid during the fourth quarter.
- Those won projects are a clear indicator that we are seeing concrete signals of increased market activity, and that our business in foundation solutions will benefit from this over time as we are a significant market player.
