Västtrafik has chosen to renew its collaboration with Nobina through two new contracts for both city transport and rural traffic services in Skaraborg, Sweden. The agreements extend for ten years from the start of the contracts in June 2025.
The two contracts comprise a total of approximately 165 scheduled buses with extensive city and regional transport services throughout Skaraborg. The service also includes scheduled school bus traffic.
All of the city transport will operate on electrical or renewable energy, which reflects our focus on travellers and ambition to always offer safe and sustainable travel. In addition, all vehicles will be equipped with Wi-Fi and USB power sockets.
"We are very pleased that Västtrafik has decided to renew our collaboration. This will allow us to continue to operate and develop public transport that focuses on travellers, while we lead and contribute towards sustainable development," says Martin Pagrotsky, Managing Director Nobina Sweden.
The award decision can be appealed until 4 December 2023.
