On 17 December 2025 a total of 8,358 B shares in Metsä Board Corporation ("Company") have been returned free of charge to the Company in accordance with the rules of the share-based compensation plan 2020-2024. The shares were originally granted, as part of a long-term incentive plan (for the performance periods 2021-2023 and 2022-2024), to an individual covered by the share-based incentive scheme who has left the Company toward the end of 2025.

Following the return of these shares, the Company holds a total of 360,802 of its own B shares.
