InCoax Networks AB (publ) and its MoCA Access™ 2.5 technology is part of a comprehensive network design selected by the City of Elberton, Georgia, to modernize and future-proof its broadband network. The upgrade marks a shift from legacy cable infrastructure to an all-fiber, high-capacity 25G PON-ready fiber network that uses MoCA Access to ensure high-speed access is available in MDU buildings that can't be fiberized.
InCoax's solution is designed to cost-effectively extend gigabit broadband to tenants in multi-dwelling units (MDUs), particularly in locations where deploying fiber directly to each apartment is impractical or cost-prohibitive. InCoax's technology has been integrated into the Nokia Gigabit solution to deliver high-performance broadband over existing in-building coaxial networks using MoCA Access 2.5.
While the Elberton deployment is relatively modest in scale, the project demonstrates how the strategic partnership between Nokia and InCoax enables a scalable and efficient way to expand broadband to underserved communities.
