The funds from the issue have been used to finance projects within areas covered by ICA Gruppen's Green Finance Framework: green buildings, renewable energy, clean transportation and eco-efficient products within the company's own brand range.

For every million kronor invested in our green bond, emissions decreased by 4.86 tonnes CO\2 \and contributed to our continued transition towards sustainable raw materials." says Kerstin Lindvall, Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer at ICA Gruppen.

In May 2023, ICA Gruppen issued green bonds in a total nominal amount of SEK 3.5 billion. The issue attracted high demand and was more than 1.5 times oversubscribed. This was ICA Gruppen's first green bond issue, which took place in line with the company's Green Finance Framework which was established in spring 2023.

ICA Gruppen has long worked purposely to reduce its climate impact and the green framework enables green financing alternatives for ICA Gruppen's continued sustainability efforts.
