Under the agreement, Gridle provides optimization and route-to-market services for AkkuX's battery projects across electricity wholesale and balancing services markets. Oulu-based AkkuX remains responsible for the development and ownership of the battery assets.

The first project covered by the agreement is a 5 MW / 10 MWh battery energy storage system in Outokumpu, Finland. The project is expected to enter operation later this year. The battery is commercially driven investment, with revenues maximized through participation in electricity wholesale markets and Fingrid's balancing services markets, contributing to the balancing of the Finnish power system.

The agreement provides a framework for long-term operational cooperation as AkkuX expands its grid-scale battery project pipeline in Finland.
