Konfio

• Konfio recently raised fresh debt funding from the Inter-American Development Bank to further expand access to credit to SMEs across Mexico. Read more here.

• TransferGo recently launched a new partnership with Visa to offer real-time international transfers to customers. Read more here.

FinanZero

• CEO Olle Widén recently spoke to Latin America Business Stories on how FinanZero stands to benefit from new open banking regulation in Brazil. Read the piece here.

JUMO

• Buhle Goslar, Africa CEO of JUMO, recently gave a keynote address at Copenhagen Fintech Week on the challenges of scaling in Africa. Watch it here.
• JUMO was also the recipient of two awards at the Global SME Finance Forum held by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – Platinum for Responsible Digital Innovator of the Year and Silver for Product Innovation of the Year. More details here.

Magnetis

• At a recent company event, Magnetis announced new product features for users, including a new tier for customers called Magnetis Private, a new goal-based dashboard, and an updated onboarding experience. Watch the announcement video here (in Portuguese).

New research on VEF

• Following our Q3 2020 financial results, fresh research on VEF has been released by Pareto Securities (here), DNB Markets (here) and Nau Securities, while Edison Research recently launched coverage of VEF (here).

Exits in the EM fintech space

• The IPO of fintech super app Kaspi in Kazakhstan, IPO of China’s Lufax on the NYSE, and acquisition of Nigerian payments company Paystack by Stripe are landmark events in the emerging market fintech space and serve to highlight the value our investment theme is creating across the globe.
