Realfiction Holding AB ("Realfiction" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that this week it will participate in Display Week 2025 in San Jose, California, where it will present several demonstrations of its Directional Pixel Technology (DPT), including a joint exhibit with PlayNitride.
As part of a close collaboration with PlayNitride, Realfiction will exhibit a 9-inch MicroLED-based 3D display that merges PlayNitride’s world-class MicroLED expertise with Realfiction’s latest-generation Spatial Light Modulator (SLM)—a core enabler of immersive, glasses-free 3D experiences. This display—previously shown at Touch Taiwan in April— will be exhibited at PlayNitride’s booth, where Realfiction representatives will be present to engage with visitors and explain the technology. The 9-inch display delivers a striking 3D effect with depth rendering of 1.5 to 2 times the screen size and is produced using standardized manufacturing principles.
“We are excited to continue our collaboration with PlayNitride and to jointly present this important milestone to professionals in the display industry as part of our commercialization journey,” says Clas Dyrholm, CEO of Realfiction. “Our partnership demonstrates the compatibility of our technology with leading MicroLED platforms and is a key step in bringing glasses-free 3D to market.”
At its own booth, Realfiction will also present two 3D demonstrations based on DLP projection technology in combination with its proprietary SLM and rendering algorithms. These setups allow Realfiction to showcase the 3D effect in slightly larger dimensions and higher resolution than the PlayNitride display, independently of any specific panel manufacturer—highlighting the agnostic nature of the Company’s SLM in terms of underlying image generation technologies.
In addition, Realfiction will unveil a mixed-reality demonstration of future LED wall use-cases, illustrating how its DPT platform enables immersive experiences at large scale across two distinct modes: glasses-free 3D with look-around functionality, and multi-view with forced perspective. These capabilities directly address the needs of markets where Realfiction is already engaged in strategic dialogues.
