Hedin Mobility Group grows its presence in Switzerland when Hedin Automotive takes the position as the second largest BMW and MINI dealership group in the country.
MÖLNDAL, SWEDEN, 14 September 2022 –– Hedin Automotive AG, a subsidiary of Hedin Mobility Group, has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares in Alpina Group, the largest BMW and MINI dealership group in the eastern part of Switzerland. Alpina Group’s turnover in 2021 was approximately MEUR 117.5 and the company employs some 140 people at three full-service dealerships in St. Gallen, Widnau and Chur.
In 2020, Hedin Automotive expanded to Switzerland through the acquisition of three BMW and MINI dealerships in the greater Zurich-area. Since then, the state-of-the-art body shop and paint supplier CaroLack Galliker has been added to the business, which is now being expanded to eastern Switzerland, targeting a strategically important area for Hedin Mobility Group.

The transaction is subject to approval from competition authorities. Transfer of business is expected at the end of September 2022.
