Gigasun signs three new orders in China that generates SEK 17 million over the term of the agreement.

2026-09-01 15:45:00

Gigasun's wholly-owned subsidiary in China has signed three new agreements with three different industrial companies in the wood and manufacturing industry for the installation of three solar energy plants with a total capacity of approximately 1.8 megawatts (MW). The plants are expected to generate annual revenues of approximately SEK 0.85 million from the sale of electricity, which corresponds to a total order value of approximately SEK 17 million over the 20-year term of the agreement.

The investment in the facilities amounts to approximately SEK 7.5 million and the projects is planned to commence in the third quarter of 2026. The facilities will be owned and operated by Gigasun's subsidiaries and are expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 765 tonnes per year. The projects are fully commercially viable without the need for government subsidies.

The solar power plants will be built in Sichuan province.

CEO Max Metelius comments:
These three agreements confirm the underlying demand we see in our core business in China. The 20-year contract length gives us a stable, predictable revenue stream. Sichuan has strong industrial demand and good conditions for solar power, and we see continued good potential to grow our portfolio in the region. With these new facilities, we are taking further steps in our expansion and delivering an attractive cash flow to Gigasun.
