2026-07-02 16:59:00

On July 2, 2026, Bellman Group entered into an agreement to acquire Ekmans Hedesunda AB. Ekmans Hedesunda AB is a full-service provider of transportation, machinery and workshop services, with operations in Gävleborg County. Upon completion of the transaction, the company will become part of Bellman Group’s Business Area North. The company has approximately 22 full-time employees.

Ekmans Hedesunda AB was founded in 1947 and holds a strong regional market position in construction transportation in the Gävle region. The company’s offering includes transportation solutions and machinery services for construction and infrastructure projects, as well as workshop services covering service, repair, assembly and bodywork for heavy vehicles. Operations are conducted from facilities in Gävle and Hedesunda.

In fiscal year 2025, Ekmans Hedesunda AB generated net sales of approximately SEK 240 million. In recent years, the company has demonstrated strong growth and solid profitability, supported by long-standing customer relationships and a scalable business model.

“Ekmans Hedesunda AB is a very well-managed and profitable company with a strong market position in the Gävle region. Through the planned transaction, we will strengthen our presence in central Sweden, broaden our offering through in-house workshop capacity and create new opportunities for collaboration and cross-selling between the companies in the Group,” says Magnus Persson, CEO of Bellman Group.

“For us, this is a natural next step. We have built the business over a long period of time and see significant opportunities to continue developing the transportation and machinery business together with Bellman Group. At the same time, it is important for us to preserve what has made Ekmans successful: close customer relationships, high availability and a strong sense of responsibility in our day-to-day operations,” says Christian “Chrille” Ekman, co-owner of Ekmans Hedesunda AB.

“We also see significant opportunities to further develop the workshop operations within Bellman Group. We have built a business with strong expertise in service, repair, assembly and bodywork, and with Bellman Group as the new owner, we will have better conditions to continue growing while also contributing specialist expertise to the Group,” says Jan “Janne” Ekman, co-owner of Ekmans Hedesunda AB.

With the planned transaction, Bellman Group will complete its 16th acquisition since its founding, and its third in 2026, continuing to grow through a combination of organic growth and a proactive acquisition agenda.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed around the end of August or beginning of September 2026. The two current owners will remain with the business after closing, ensuring an efficient integration into Bellman Group.
